This benefit provides, at no cost, a $2,000 face amount life insurance benefit during the first 90 days of the child’s life. Stillbirths and miscarriages are not eligible for this benefit. To qualify, both parents must have at least $5,000 of PWA insurance taken 12 or more months prior to the birth of their child and coverage on the parents must be continued to the time of child’s death.

Once the child reaches 15 days and during the remaining 75 day period, the parents may apply for $5,000 of life insurance, other than term, without additional benefits, to become effective on child’s 91st day of life. This will be issued regardless of the insured’s health

This benefit is for the care of children who become fully orphaned by the death of both of their parents. To be eligible both of the parents must be living when the membership certificate becomes effective and have a minimum of $5,000 worth of PWA whole life insurance, which must be in force at the time of their death. Each child must be a member of PWA. The benefit begins one month after the child becomes an orphan through child’s age 19.

This benefit pays $100 per month to the child’s legal guardian (documents appointing legal guardian are required) to be used for child’s care. Payments end at the child’s 19th birthday, or if the child is adopted, marries or becomes self-supporting.

The premium payments on such child’s policy(s) will be waived through the child’s 19th birthday, or if the child is adopted, marries or becomes self-supporting. PWA requires satisfactory proof of death of both parents.

The General Administration may authorize payment from the FAF of $50 dollars in any calendar year to any insured member in need who has been an insured member continuously for at least twenty (20) years. The insured member must continue to pay all prescribed dues and assessments.

The General Administration may authorize the payment from FAF of assessments on all certificates, which have been in force for thirty (40), or more years provided the insured member has attained the age of eighty (80).

Members are offered discounts to various educational and cultural programs such as Polish language classes, dance instruction and folklore programs-just to name a few.

 

Each year PWA offers scholarship benefits to its young members who meet requirements.

 

Each household receives the monthly newspaper, Glos Polek.

 

Support of humanitarian causes and issues of importance to the Polish American communities; for example, PWA lends it support to homes for the aged and disabled in the United States, and several hospitals and children's institutions in Poland.

 

Members can select from variety of insurance and annuity programs tailored to meet their individual needs.

 

PWA waives the premium payments for members who are 80 years old and have their certificate for at least 40 years.
